EV02 connectors link swappable battery packs to the vehicle. The 40-contact version carries 2 × 250 A power contacts, a ground contact and 37 × 40 A contacts; the 13-contact version 5 power and 8 control contacts. A floating mount with rubber flexure absorbs ±5 mm misalignment in X, Y and Z, guides allow blind mating, and the contacts are rated for 10,000 cycles.

Why does a battery-swap connector need to float?
The pack is placed by a robot or lift with some positional error. The floating mount lets the connector align itself during mating without stressing contacts or the pack.
