Backshells and caps that complete a 38999-type connector: strain relief, shield termination and protection for unmated connectors.
A connector is only as reliable as its cable exit. Backshells take the cable load off the contact joints, seal the grommet and carry the cable shield to the connector shell; protective caps keep unmated connectors clean and dry.
