XY2 Lightweight Micro Circular Connectors

≈ 30 % lighter, 50 % smaller than Series III · threaded · 9 shell sizes

XY2 is our lightweight micro circular connector. Against a GJB 599 Series III connector with the same layout it is about 30 % lighter and 50 % smaller, while keeping triple-start threaded coupling, EMI shielding and comparable marine, rain, salt-spray, vibration and shock performance. An integrated banding platform lets you terminate the cable shield without a backshell.

Frequently asked questions

How much lighter is XY2 than a 38999 Series III connector?

Against a GJB 599 Series III connector with the same layout, XY2 is about 30 % lighter and 50 % smaller. With the integrated banding platform, the axial length is about 10 mm shorter because no backshell is needed.

Do XY2 connectors mate with Series III connectors?

No. XY2 has its own shell sizes and thread. Choose XY2 for new designs where weight and space matter.

What are size 23 and 20HD contacts?

Size 23 carries 5 A like size 22D, and 20HD carries 7.5 A like size 20, with the same crimp process, in a denser layout.
