Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between 38999 Series I and Series III?

Series I uses bayonet coupling for fast mating; Series III uses a triple-start threaded coupling that is self-locking under heavy vibration. Both use the same style of insert arrangements numbered by shell size and layout, for example 25-35.

Can GJB599 Series I replace my MS27467 or D38999/26 Series I parts?

GJB599 Series I is built to GJB 599A Series I, the counterpart of MIL-DTL-38999 Series I. Send us your D38999 part number and we will propose the matching configuration and samples for your mating test.

Do you make hermetic Series I receptacles?

Yes — wall-mount, jam-nut and solder-mount hermetic receptacles, plus bulkhead feed-through receptacles, with leak rate ≤ 1 × 10⁻⁸ Pa·m³/s at 0.1 MPa.
