FBG is a flameproof (Ex d) circular connector for hazardous areas in oil and gas production, refining, chemical plants and offshore platforms. Its flameproof joints contain an internal explosion of any flammable mixture that has entered the connector, so it cannot ignite the surrounding atmosphere. FBG holds an Ex component certificate to GB 3836 (Ex db IIC T6 Gb).

No. It is an Ex component; it must be certified as part of your complete Ex equipment. Never mate or unmate it under load.
